Kristian Svitak

Want to know about Svitak? If the answer is yes you are more bored then we are. Well here is a full 20 minute TV show about him. Below that you can find all kinds of other time wasting photos and updates by Svitak...

Look someone with even more time to waste then us ( who would have thought ) spent time putting up Svitak's part from an old Label video made back in 2000. Since you are obviously a conisur (sp yeah we know see kids this is why you need to stay in school) of wasting time here is the video part.......

What do we have here? Well its Svitak's part from the 88 video 'Destroy Everything Now'.This came out in 2004.

How about this. Here is Kristian's first video when he was on Invisible. It was put out in 1997. His part starts at 3:52. The juggling before hand is better then his part.

Well if you really gotta know, I'm from Cleveland Ohio. Ive been skating and been a proud member of Team Insanity since 1988. I have been pro since 1999. I play drums in a rock-n-roll band called the Heartaches, not to be confused with the Heartaches from Belgium, we're from San Diego (surf's up bro!)

(If you want to know more about him go to www.wasteoftime.com )

Most peple know its 2008 and not 1985 , but not our friend Mr. Svitak. Just look to the right here. How pathetic. We should just start making decks with a 7 degree kicktail and a 3" nose. Yeah Svitak would like that alot. Whats next a slappy grind?

Lets see, Been skating a lot! Filmed some tricks and shot some photos over the weekend. I shot a possible new Innes ad yesterday. I did a b/s heelflip off this hip into a huge bank. It wasnt hard to do the flip into it but really scary going down the bank backwards! Pretty sketchy! I also saw Joe Jack Talcum play another show up in Long Beach, it was amazing! If you dont know who he is, look him up! My band the HeartAches opened up for Mudhoney saturday night. That was really fun. It was a sold out show. O.K., im going to go mow my lawn now. Go listen to "not richard but dick" by the DeadMilkmen!

I probably just had one of the best times at a show since I was in high school!

On thursday I flew to Houston Texas for the "make a wish" skate bash. I got there and first had a little meeting with the guys over at South Shore distribution. After that I went to the Raybourns house for a good dinner made by Bruce Raybourn himself. After that I got a good nights sleep.

The next day Ben was at school so Me and Bruce hung out, went to a music store and I bought a kazoo and a clown wistle for Ben. Friday, this is where it gets really good! By this time my buddy Dave (Bens tm at I path) was in town so we all went to the "make a wish" thing and skated. It was really fun! Ben didnt skate the bowl contest much because it turned into a big snake sesh with 4-5 guys in the bowl at one time. I guess they had something to prove?

Anyways we caught wind that the DEAD MILKMEN where playing 3 hours away in Austin! So what did we do? What any good team manager would do, go to see the DEAD MILKMEN play!!!! It was at a festival called fun, fun, fun fest.So me, Dave and Ben hopped in the rental car and drove. We got there when ALL was playing. The DEAD MILKMEN played and it was amazing to say the least! After the show we went out to 6th street for some pizza and more fun. Our next dilema was, do we go back to Houston in the morning for more of the skate stuff or do we stay and see Kevin Seconds, D.O.A., Cro-Mags, and the Bad Brains the next day? Duh!!!!!!!!!!! we stayed for the festival!

We got there nice and early. Oh, there was also a skate ramp there put up by Find n Grind skateshop. what could be better? A mini ramp with D.O.A. playing on stage while you rip!!!! It was amazing! We skated the ramp all day and took breaks to get closer to the stage for the bands we wanted to see. The guys from Find n Grind hooked us up all day with drinks from back stage. Thanks guys!!!!

Kevin Seconds played it was great! I got a chance to talk to him a bit after he played, super cool guy. The Cro-Mags killed it! They pretty much played the whole "Age of Quarrel" album. they also played a Minor Threat song. The place went ape shit! Then the Bad Brains played! Amazing. HR is out of his mind! Tons of old hardcore songs!!!!

Earlier in the day I ran into Dean Clean and Joe Jack Talcum of the DEAD MILKMEN. We talked a bit and Joe told me he was playing a solo show later that night at a small bar on 6th street. So of course we went to see that as well.

It was great! I got to meet Rodney ananomous and their new bass player Dandrew. Nice guys! Anyways it was great because there where only about 30 people there and Rodney was next to us singing with us while Joe was on stage playing Dead Milkmen songs with his acoustic guitar. It was very sureal to say the least.

I can blab on much more about it but I think you get the point. And I hate typing! Wow, what a great time!

Yeah, we had our big video premiere on Halloween. It was great, but we where all too dumb to take any photos or film anything! We suck! Go to the Thrasher site and click on "Burnout" then click on "all hallows eve". Burnett hooked it up for us! Hes got some really good photos up there! BK called me from Boston when he and his whole family and all of his friends where on there way to the premiere out there. It sounded like it was going off pretty hard. That sounded kind of wierd. Oh well, its all down hill from here.
Im listening to 7-seconds "ourselves" right now. Check it!

This past week? Well I skated a bunch! I went to the Volcom Damn am contest to check out the new up and coming kids. It was o.k. the course looked fun though. But, be sure to check out the "Daily Habit" on Fuel t.v. today. Me and Ben will be on there today! I dont get that channel so let me know how dumb we looked! Also "Turn Up The Hell" premieres on Halloween night! Also im listening to Dinosar Jr. "youre living all over me" right now. Go check it out!

Well, a lot of stuff went down this past week. first off, Ben came back in town and we went on the "Daily Habit" last tuesday. It was fun. Check the photos. Me and Ben getting our noses powdered by the make up girl before we went on. We are soooo gay! There are some we took of eachother on the set and then one of us with the host, Pat. Incase you clowns out there dont know, Pat is a really cool dude and knows whats up when it comes to skating. On our way back home, our limo driver; thats right, they sent a limo to pick us up and take us home. Arent we "high class"! Anyways, he had to take a 2 hour detour because some wild fire shut down the freeway. We ended up on this mountain overlooking this big lake. Check the photos again. We finally made it back to my house and ate hot dogs.
On Saturday we went out to the "Rumble in Ramona" contest and had some fun. Ben killed it! He wasnt "invited" to skate it but he did what any good skate rat would do and dropped in! By the end of the night he got 2 awards. He got a pirate bank for doing a bonedrecht and some wierd piece of metal for an all around ripper award. Some other highlights where my friends band the Smutt Peddlers playing along with Duane Peters, JFA and some other rad bands I didnt catch the names of. My favorite part of the day was watching Christian Hosoi do a christ air right in front of my face! He was stoked and so was I. All in all, I think that was the best contest I have been to since my buddys put one on about 13 years ago back in Cleveland. Live punk bands great skating and a very non cometetive attitude. Thanks for the fun day and restoring my faith in skateboarding!

This past week Ben Raybourn and myself flew to Wilmington North Carolina to have a meeting with the guys at Eastern skateboard supply. It was pretty awesome! They have their own private park there, so after having our meetings we ripped! I can honestly say it was one of my favorite parks. Something for everybody and all birch wood! I love that stuff! Everyone there is super cool! Thanks to Subhan for letting us crash at his pad and for driving us around.
Im listening to the first album by Smashing Pumpkins "Gish". One of my favorites since about 1990! You have to be in a mellow mood for it so dont be trying to crank it on the way to the punk show. Check it out!

Once again I cant really remember too much of the past week. What I do remember is the googy vs. regular contest. Yeah thats right, I was there. I picked up Ben and his I Path team mate Aaron "Jaws" Hamoki from the airport Thursday night. Friday was the bowl contest. At first they weren't going to let Ben skate because of some world cup contest rules. Then they said he could skate in the locals contest to "prove himself". If he made top 3 in that he could enter the pro contest. Well to sum it up in a nutshell, The people that where giving him a hard time getting in and saying " Ben Raybourn, I never heard of him" where giving him a check for $1,000.00 for 3rd place in the pro bowl contest at the end of the night! Nice work Ben! Check the photo I took from the weekend. #1. Ben during the contest. #2. Me, really getting into it at the contest! #3. Ben after winning, passing out in the car on the ride home. #4. Ben showing his check he got for doing some stunts.

This past week has been pretty fun. Been skating a lot! Nepscha, Daxter Lussier and myself skated this rad ditch by my house. Check the photos bro! Daxter got really artsy and shot the one of me doing the f/s 360 over the hip with Nepscha giving the "thumbs up". Then I tried to shoot that one of Daxter doing a f/s flip over the hip. As you can see Im not very good on the timming with a little digital camera. In reality Daxters f/s flip was huge! I just suck and shot it to early. Sorry Daxter! Also I got a dog from the O.C. animal shelter. His name is Oscar. Check him out! P.S. I like corn dogs!

booooooooo yaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
I can never even remember what I did the week before. I know I skated a lot with my friends. We had some good sessions on my mini ramp. Been hitting the raw streets. Finished "Turn Up The Hell" and sent it off to the duplicators (thank god ). I got a dog from the Orange County humane society. His name is Oscar. My band finally played together after a 4 month hiatus. Looks like we will be playing at the 1031 video premiere on Halloween at Hensleys bar. Watched the G.G. Allen documentary, that never gets old. Oh yeah, suck it!

Ive just been working really hard on finishing up Turn up the Hell. Ive got Jeff Biedenblah in from P.A. living in my garage for a couple of weeks. He is the dude editing this thing. Should be good, Its almost done! Went down to the ASR trade show on friday. That was lame as ushual. So many "Bro's". Makes me want to shoot myself in the face. One good thing about it was that NSS had my new pro model shoe down there. They where working hard at making me look good because I need all the help I can get.
We where out skating on saturday when Officer Collins with the Oceanside humane Society decided to have a power trip and bust us for skating at a school. It was lame, he was so lame! The real police showed up and pretty much thought the whole thing was a joke. she was a sergent with the O-side p.d. she pretty much smiled at us and let us go. Way to go dog catcher! Feel free to contact Mr. Collins and let him know what a good job he is doing!
sunday I filmed a b/s heel flip into this huge grarly bank. I almost died, but I didnt. darn!

Update!!!!!!!! I swam with a sea lion. How dumb is that? There where about 15 of them in the water with me. The ocean is weird! We got our new boards the other day, thats cool. I went camping and saw 3 bears! Arent you glad you took the time to read this? Here is my album pick of the week..... Fugazi, "Repeater" and "In on the kill taker". Dont be stupid, go get them. I know you love your Sublime and Good Charolate but do yourself a favor and flush that crap and go get these albums. Really anything by Fugazi will be good. Every album rips!

I have been listening to a lot of my old death metal tapes from high school latley. Bolt Thrower, Deicide, Morbid Angel to name a few. Also Ive been listening to a lot of my old Staight Edge tapes as well. Mainly a lot of Youth of Today. That was a good band. I feel like when I was younger, as far as music went, we lived in the moment. The movements like punk and straight edge and hardcore where all happening at that time. Now I feel like those kind of bands and young kids today are just trying to recreate the "old days". It just doesnt seem current. Does this make sense? I think im just getting old!

Im writting this as I battle the flu. Yeah rad! Lets see, well on sunday Ben , Chad ,and myself went to Woodward west for the week. It was super fun! We skated everyday and played around in the gymnastics gym. I didnt take any pictures but we did film some crap and made a little video. Im sure it is somewhere on the site by now. I dont really know what more to say about it, I mean there isnt a whole lot to do there other than skate and eat crappy camp food. Jumping on trampolines is fun! Oh yeah, Ben got in to the gymnastics demo with some Olympic gymnist and was getting more cheers then her! It was great. She was really good, doing all kinds of fancy stuff but then Ben would jump on the trampoline after her and just go crazy and almost die everytime! The kids loved ben. That was really funny.
I was skating at one of the outdoor parks the one day and I noticed Pamela Anderson sitting in the grass watching us skate. That was weird but she was there because her little boy was there as a camper for the week. I felt kind of bad for the kid because all you heard where jokes about her all week long. The poor kid is probably too youg to even understand the fame of his mom and dad. I mean I know I would be bummed if I heard kids talking about my moms boobs all day. Anyways, yeah that was kind of interesting. Now I have the flu.

I left Ohio on tuesday and drove for 2 days straight! Got back to California on thursday and spent the next couple of days catching up on mail and paying bills. So Fun! Ben Raybourn flew out here on Saturday night and is staying at my house. Myself, Chad and Ben all drove up to Woodward west Sunday morning. Thats where we are now. We will be here for the next week. We are going to try and film some crap while we are here and have it up on the site later this week. Thats all I got fo now. Go buy the new Breeders album "Mountain Battles" its really good!

Na, na, na gonna have a good time, hey, hey, hey! I sure do miss watching Fat Albert. I saw it the other day for the first time since I was a kid, it was great! Anyways, All ive been doing is skating all week long. Nothing too exciting. Filming, shooting photos. I did get a pair of samples of my new shoe coming out on NSS. They look really good! I went on an all day park tour with some old friends of mine. Were all in our early to mid 30's so its pretty amusing. They get together every sunday and skate a bunch of Cleveland area crappy parks in one day. I got to go along yesterday for my first time.
I leave Ohio tomarrow (tuesday) to go back to California. I should be back by thursday. Thats right, Im driving! So While your watching t.v. and playing video games all day tuesday and wendsday I will be sitting in my car driving. YEAH!

I went up to Toronto this past week. It was super fun. I skated a really good ramp in a barn. It was like 4ft tall, then it went up to 6ft, then to 6.5? Then on one side it had a vert wall that was maybe 8 or 9 ft tall. My measurements may be a little off but you get the picture. It was surfaced with old masonite so it was a little slow but still super fun! Thanks to Steve Kiely and his brother Andy for hooking that up! I also Saw my buddy Steves band play a show up there as well. The name of the band is HiFi. It was pretty hectic! By the end there where 2 girls from the crowd on stage taking their shirts off. I guess they just couldnt help themselves! Maybe I should start bringing a camera with me when I go out. Im sure you guys would have appreciated that!

More news in only one week later? Yeah, I dont know either. Do you people even read this crap? Well here it goes.
I've been filming and shooting photos almost everyday for the past week. I'm still in Cleveland and its been pretty hot and humid. I went out last tuesday with a film crew for Fuel T.V. They where in town for the "Dew Tour" (how exciting!) and they wanted to go film some other syuff rather then just filming that "Radical" contest. So I took them out to 10 of my favorite spots and we filmed a segment for one of their shows. It was pretty fun but very tireing! (if you got nothing better to do see some pics of all this 'excitment' below-the web editor) We had a big skate bash at a pool in the woods yesterday. That was awesome! A lot of old friends came out of the wood work for it. Oh, I know!
I finally talked to BK (Brian Kennedy) the other day. He is our flow guy from Boston. He went on tour with us this summer and he killed it. I've been trying to hit him up since tour to tell him he is going to be on the team but he dropped his phone in the toilet and has been mia til now. Anyways I told him he has a spot on the team if he wants. He said he is super down so be on the look out for a BK profile on the web site soon!

(posted 07/14/08) Well after driving 8,000 miles on our summer tour I decided to get in my car and drive another 2,500 miles to Cleveland so I can skate, film and shoot photos for the month of July. Im a driving maniac! Things have been good. Im supposed to hook up with some guys from Fuel T.V. today to film a segment on Cleveland street spots them Im going to shoot a photo of a pressure flip! Can you believe that shit!? If it turns out good I may use it for a 1031 ad. Anyways I will try to put some really lame photos up here soon. I forgot my camera back in California so I have to get my friend Chucks. He did text me a photo of a big shit he took the other day. It was huge and disgusting! Maybe I will put that up here. Would you kids like to see a photo of Chucks dump? Ah, maybe not. Anyways, yeah im in Cleveland shrreding til August. As for the rest of the guys, Chad is in Japan doing demo's, Harbour is in Denver filming for "Turn UP THE HELL", Nepscha is drinking beer and filming "BIG MOVES", and Ben Raybourn is eating candy and not brushing his teeth.

This is for any of you that are interested in checking out some new music. These are just some of the bands from my personal collection that I think are worth checking out. There is everything from crazy grind core to mellow wuss music. Rock and Roll will never die!
